Sometimes he&#8217;s so precious, easy listening or POETIC that I just want to slap him.  But he&#8217;s one of the few pop singers who can tackle spirituality directly without looking like an ass.  And give the guy his due, he wrote and sang the song &#8220;G-L-O-R-I-A&#8221; (with session musician Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin on guitar), which inspired even Patti Smith it was so awesome.  Even at his worst, he&#8217;s not as insufferable as Sting.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s one of the good ones.
